The 47th annual Daytime Emmy Awards will carry on without an in-person ceremony this year, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences confirmed on Wednesday.

STREAMING: WATCH LIVE HERE

Instead, the org is moving forward with at-home remote video productions for various Emmy awards in 2020, including Daytime, Sports, News & Documentary, and Technology & Engineering. Originally scheduled to take place in Pasadena, Calif., from June 12 to 14,
The Daytime Emmy Awards were postponed last month to a new, undetermined fall date. Now, as stay-at-home measures due to the coronavirus pandemic are expected to prevent large-scale gatherings for months to come, NATAS is mulling how and when to produce a remote streaming show for all of its various Emmy awards. “The most important factors for us are twofold:
How to Watch the Daytime Emmy Awards 2020
The Academy Awards air Sunday night on ABC beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. Interested parties can watch the Academy Awards on their television sets at the local ABC affiliate, or online at abc.com (or through the ABC app) by signing in with a participating television provider.

In addition, services such as Sling TV and AT&T TV Now will stream the show, as will Hulu via Hulu + Live. To sign up for Hulu before the Oscar Livestream starts, follow this link.
How to Watch the Daytime Emmy Awards 2020 Red Carpet
While the Academy Awards start at 8 p.m. ET, the Oscar red carpet kicks off much earlier in the day. This year, E! will begin its coverage at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT; watch either via over-the-air television or stream online through a platform like Hulu + Live. ABC, meanwhile, will broadcast the official Oscar Red Carpet beginning at 6:30 p.m ET/3:30 p.m. PT.

That show will air on ABC television affiliates and stream online via the same supporter providers and services as mentioned above for the ceremony itself. In addition, the Academy Awards have partnered with Twitter for Oscars All Access: Red Carpet Live, which will stream on the Academy’s official Twitter account, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
What time do the Daytime Emmy Awards Date and start?
the Daytime Emmys would be postponed. The decision was made after considering comments and proposed economic reopening timetables released by the federal, state and local officials in New York and Los Angeles. They also took into consideration the restrictions placed on events with more than a thousand attendees due to COVID-19.

Emmys: Sports, News & Doc Ceremonies Will Go Virtual In 2020, Joining Daytime Show
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has canceled all in-person awards shows for the rest of the year, replacing them with virtual ceremonies.NATAS had previously determined that the Daytime Emmy Awards would proceed without in-person ceremonies but had continued to plan for Sports, News & Documentary, and Technology & Engineering events.

The decision has now been made that all ceremonies will be held remotely due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The news today comes after NATAS held its regional NY Emmy Awards on Saturday via a virtual ceremony, which acted in part as a trial run for the other shows in the 2019-2020 awards cycle.
“While it appears unlikely that officials would even permit these large-crowd events to be held this year, it is also clear that there will be a lag of time between being permitted to have an event and being able to provide an environment in which all attendees feel safe and comfortable attending it,” said NATAS President & CEO Adam Sharp. “Ultimately, a single person-to-person transmission resulting in serious infection would be devastating evidence of mistaken judgment in proceeding.”
How to watch 2020Daytime Emmy Awards live stream from outside your country
Keep scrolling if you want to know your viewing options in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia (pssssst, it’s absolutely FREE Down Under!).

But it’s worth noting that if you’re away from your country this Oscar night and were hoping to watch your home coverage on your laptop or mobile, it will inevitably be geo-blocked. Annoying but this easily fixed, with a VPN you can change your IP address to a location back in your own hometown or country that will then allow you to stream the event as if you were sat back at home.
By using a VPN, you can change your IP address to one back in your home country which will allow you to stream the event as if you were back at home. We’ve tested hundreds of VPNs and can recommend ExpressVPN as the very best VPN currently available.

How to watch the 2020 Daytime Emmy Awards: live stream in the USA
ABC once again has the right to air the Daytime Emmy in the US. So as long as ABC is one of the television channels you can get, then you’re all set!

The whole thing gets a bit more complicated if you want to watch the Oscars online, however. Live streaming on abc.com and via the network’s app is only available in Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham and San Francisco. And you’ll only be able to do this if you have a participating TV provider.
Outside that, these are the other streaming services that will let you get an Oscars live stream provided you have a subscription. The good thing is that most also have a free trial that lets you give it a try without cost. But we strongly suggest that your city/state is covered in the TS&Cs as not every service covers every place in the US:
Hulu with Live TV from $55 per month
AT&T TV Now from $65 per month
YouTubeTV from $49.99 per month
How to watch a Daytime Emmy Awards 2020 live stream in the UK for FREE

Not only that but if you’ve never used Now TV before, you can get a 7-day free trial meaning you can watch the Oscars in all their glory absolutely FREE and then cancel it afterward.
Even better, it currently has an offer that lets you get a whole month of Sky Cinema AND Entertainment for a measly £4.99. Oscar-worthy value!
Red carpet coverage kicks off at 10 pm GMT and continues all the way up to the start of the ceremony at 1 am Monday morning.
As described above, it’s easy to watch this even if you’re abroad. Simply download and install a VPN and then change the server location to one inside the UK.

How to watch The Daytime Emmy Awards 2020 on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV
If you want to watch The Oscars on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV you don’t have a ton of options, but there are a few ways to get the awards on our devices!

The ABC app
The ABC app will carry the live stream of The Oscars, but you will need to have a supported login from a live TV streaming service or cable company. The ABC app supports logins from Hulu, YouTube TV and AT&T TV Now, so those should be a safe bet.

It’s important to know that The Oscars live stream in the ABC app varies by TV market location. There is a full list of supported markets on , so it may be a good idea to click through and make sure you’re in the clear.
Hulu with Live TV
You can get a one week free trial of Hulu with Live TV, but after that, it will cost you $55 a month. On top of getting Hulu as a streaming service, Hulu with Live TV has a ton of local stations and is available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.

YouTube TV
YouTube TV comes with a two-week free trial, but after your month is up it will charge you $50 monthly to continue the service. YouTube TV is a pretty simple way to stream TV and has a ton of channels. Plus, it’s available for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, meaning you can watch The Oscars how you want.

AT&T TV Now — Plus Plan
AT&T TV Now has one of the largest selections of channels, so you can watch The Oscars on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV with ease. There is a limited free trial, but typically the service costs $65 a month.

A VPN service
Streaming things outside of the U.S. can get tricky, and if you happen to be away for the big night, a VPN may be able to help you out. A VPN —which is short for “Virtual Private Network” — ends your internet traffic from far away through a specific set of servers, then pops it back into the United States. It can also give you security and peace of mind on open WiFi connections because a VPN protects you against snoopers on any network.

If you’re looking for a great VPN, we recommend ExpressVPN. It’s fast, has tons of servers, and great customer service!
